Why this model

Good real-world evidence is hard to get to. It sits behind consent walls, privacy risk, and data you cannot verify. The UK Biobank model solves this by putting rules around access instead of locking the door. Approved researchers ask approved questions, work with de-identified data, and every access is reviewed and logged. You get to study a large, consented population without carrying the legal and ethical weight of assembling one yourself.

That matters because the bottleneck in this kind of research is rarely the analysis. It is getting clean, consented, real-world data that a review board and a journal will both accept. Ēnel handles that part.

What is in the data

The data comes from people already using products in the real world: supplements, peptides, protocols. They consented, and they self-report outcomes over time. We model those outcomes into an Ēnel Index with a 95 percent credible interval, so you see both the effect and the uncertainty around it.

Here is the part you rarely find in published data. We keep the non-responders. When something does not work for someone, that null result stays in the set. Absence is a finding, and most datasets quietly drop it. Keeping it means the effects you study are honest about what did not happen, not just what did.

What governs access

Every request is reviewed before approval, and every access is logged after. The same prohibitions that govern the rest of Ēnel apply here. Identity and evidence live in separate databases, linked only by a one-way hash, so there is no re-identification. No transfer to insurers, employers, or law enforcement outside a valid legal order.

For you, that governance is not friction. It is what makes the data defensible. Participants are protected, the chain of access is auditable, and work you publish rests on a footing you can point to.

What your work returns

You bring a question. If it is approved, you get the data to answer it, and your results can return to the Record. The Record is our append-only public ledger. Results you add there strengthen a shared evidence base that members, clinicians, and other researchers all draw on. A finished study leaves more than a paper behind. It leaves the whole field a little better sourced than it found it.
